Pat's book for Charlotte

Pat really went to town on Charlotte's book. You would never know it was her first experience of altering a book...and she said it was really a hard thing to do! The theme is HOPE.

Cover of Charlotte's book

This is the cover of Charlotte's book, done by Pat. Didn't she do a super job?

Here is Barb's page in Mary's book, which is a loose leaf how-to book with slick pages. Mary's theme is "Home Improvement". Mary lives in an old school house. Three floors, red brick, big. And needs a lot of work--hence her choice of themes. Barb has met the challenge admirably and will be a hard act to follow.

Zentangle

http://www.zentangle.com/index.php This is an interesting website. You will love all the designs that are shown. It is great therapy for a dull meeting you have to attend. But an original idea? I don't think so. But go take a look.
Members of the Artistic Expressions! group have started a round robin altered book exchange. We are doing our first pages now. The images above are the three pages I did in Cheryl's book. The first is a single page, the bottom two are a double page spread. We are changing books every three weeks. Several in our group have never done an altered book before so this is quite a stretch for them. ~Nancy
